We were working in the State Library near the US Vice President’s office when we were approached about repairing the piece to match the mirror it is usually perched on. We replicated missing ornament, repaired the cracks, then gilded and toned the piece to match the mirror frame. The Vice President liked it so much, he had it placed at eye level so he could admire it.
