Washington Monument, Washington DC

Project Description: Conservation and restoration of the gilding on over 10 of the commemorative tablets set into the inside walls of the structure. Stones dated from the 1850's up until 1960. We used various karats of leaf to produce colors closest to the original gilding.

Project Description: We installed an aluminum leaf "pewter finish" onto the ceiling and applied the Smithsonian logo on top in gold leaf.
The Renwick Gallery, Smithsonian Institution

Project Description: We "flash gilded" over 1,000 linear feet of ornament on the cornices and ceiling of the Grand Salon. Gilding was done using non-tarnishing mica powders to replicate the original historic finish.

Project Description: Stripped and restored the gilding on this lead fountain with 23.5KT gold leaf. We also restored the gilding on the front gates, lanterns, and cornices in the ballroom.
