Glazed Finishes
Along with unrivaled expertise in metal leaf finishes, we also are noted for our mastery of glazes. This enables us to produce (or reproduce) convincing textures of stone, marble, wood and others. Our staff is also highly trained in color-matching, and developing color combinations for any decor.

Marbling and Stone

A combination of different techniques, when use together will produce persuasive textures of marble and stone.

Woodgraining

Convincing wood textures can be created by our artists to match the existing decor or to take on a appearance and feel of there own.

Dragging

Technique used to produce a stria like pattern. When used with proper colors and intensity it can resemble woodgrain, raw silks and other linear designs.

Sponging

A technique which produces a cloudy, speckled finish that can soften or emphasize the features and outlines of moldings, walls and furniture.

Ragging and Rag Rolling

Ragging involves the application or extraction of glaze with rags to produce several effects which include: leather, parchment, and many others.

Stippling

A technique used to aid in many glazed finish processes. A popular finish created by stippling is sandstone

Spatter

A technique that involves spattering wet glaze into wet glaze that produces a granular-like finish. When used with other techniques results can simulate faux granite and stone.

Color Washing

A coat of highly-thinned glaze or transparent paints over a contrasting background, to produce a translucent colored finish.
